JAMMU: The Border Security Force (BSF) today paid tributes to head constable Jitendra Singh who was killed in Pakistani firing.
Singh was killed in heavy firing from across the border on October 27.
He was the third BSF jawan to be killed in firing and shelling by Pakistani Rangers in the past few days. Head constable Sushil Kumar was killed on October 24. Constable Gurnam Singh, who foiled an infiltration bid by heavily armed militants in Bobiya area of Kathua district, was injured on Friday in a sniper attack and died on Saturday night.
A wreath-laying ceremony was organised for Jitendra Singh at the Jammu frontier camp of BSF at Paloura.
BSF ADG (Western Command) Arun Kumar, BSF IG (Jammu) D K Upadhayay and CRPF IG Pankaj Kumar were among those who paid floral tribute to the martyr on this occasion. (AGENCIES)
