SRINAGAR: A medium danger avalanche warning was issued today for hilly and avalanche-prone areas of Kupwara and Bandipora districts, which received heavy snowfall during the past one week.
An official spokesperson said here that divisional administration issued a medium danger avalanche warning for next 24 hours for hilly and avalanche prone areas of Kupwara and Bandipora districts.
Accordingly, the Deputy Commissioners of Kupwara and Bandipora have been asked to take precautionary measures in their respective districts and advise people not to venture in avalanche-prone areas. (AGENCIES)
