17 jawans feared dead, 17 injured in army ammunition depot fire

 

 New Delhi : Seventeen jawans were feared dead and as many injured in a major fire that broke out in early hours in an army ammunition depot in Pulgaon in Maharashtra’s Wardha district.    Army officials here said some of the jawans were critically injured.     They said the main fire had been extinguished but secondary fire and explosions could not be ruled out.      Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar is expected to visit Pulgaon this afternoon.  (Agencies)
