SRINAGAR: Emphasising on the importance of unity in diversity and strengthening national integration, Governor N N Vohra today said these are crucial prerequisites for country’s growth and stability.
Addresing Special National Integration Camp of NCC at Rangreth in the central Kashmir district of Badgam, Mr Vohra brought out the importance of organising such camps, which help in understanding vastness of the nation having rich culture, heritage and multiple languages.
The Governor complimented the J&K National Cadet Corps (NCC) Cadets who have excelled at international and national level. Approximately 400 NCC Cadets and staff representing all states and union territories of the country are participating in a camp which began on May 26 and will conclude on June 5.
The Governor was presented the Guard of Honour by smart NCC Cadets comprising young boys and girls. Later, he along with host of dignitaries witnessed a colourful, vibrant and an energetic cultural programme of folk dances and group songs by the Cadets. (AGENCIES)
