Bills to amend backward classes, chit funds, entertainment duty, introduced

SRINAGAR: Bills to amend J&K State Commission for Backward Classes Act, 1997, Chit funds, Levy of Entertainment Duty and Brick Kilns (amendment) were introduced in the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly today.

Minister for CA&PD Choudhary Zulfkar Ali on behalf of Minister for Social Welfare today introduced “A Bill to amend the Jammu & Kashmir State Commission for Backward Classes Act, 1997,” already published in an extraordinary issue of the Government Gazette.

The Minister also introduced “A Bill to provide for the regulation of chit funds in the State and for matters connected therewith already published in an extraordinary issue of the Government Gazette. He also on behalf of Minister for Finance, Culture, Labour and Employment today introduced “A bill to provide for the Levy of an Entertainment Duty in respect of Admission to Public Entertainments and matters connected therewith or incidental thereto already published in an extraordinary issue the Government Gazette.
